The laboratory has three distinct and separate areas::
- sample preparation and chemical routine analysis;
- chromatographic analysis;
- spectroscopic analysis.
AsLab is equipped mainly in spectroscopic and chromatographic instrumentations, in particular a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer with an attenuated total reflectance sampling system (FT-IR ATR), a comprehensive chromatographic system GC×GC-FID and GC×GG-MS Triple quadrupole for the separation and identification of compounds in complex matrices, also by means of their enantiomeric analysis. Extraction techniques consist mainly in the Solid Phase Micro Extraction (SPME) and static and dynamic head space.
